Racists are the real Race Traitors

Race traitor-defined as a person who betrays his or her race against some perceived evil.

When you hear the word "race traitor" thrown about, what comes to mind?

A racist person calling out a member of his or her own race who likes other races.

A racist person getting angry because a member of his or her own race is making love to a person from another race.

A racist person angry that a member of his or her own race has half-breed children whom he views as an abomination.

Usually it is a term used by racist people, against people who aren't racist. Or someone who comes from one race, yet identifies as another.

But who really is the traitor here? The tolerant folks, or the intolerant ones?

We live as humans in the 21st century. In all our years on this half-paradise, half-hellhole mudball we call Earth, we have grown as a species that rose above other species, dominated the planet, and we created countless technological blessings and inventions that no other animal has. We have mastered the air, built roads on the land, and even landed men on space. Why, we have even landed drones on comets! Not bad for a species that were once a few steps above the average animal.

But for generations we have spilled blood over inconsequential differences. Different Gods. Different kings. Different tribes. Or just animosities between two beings or groups of beings. But deities and kings are at the very least, placable. Many Religions nowadays speak of a shared brotherhood of mankind, about how we all come from the same God who sees us all as His children, leading many religions like Christianity to accept people from any ethnic background so long as they worship with dignity. Kings, Emperors, Presidents, and other heads of states can be made to compromise with others of the same rank or standing, or even accept many different peoples from many different ethnicities and traditions as subjects, so long as they are loyal.

The one kind of war that hasn't been overcome by this wave of compromise is "race." But what defines "race", exactly? Is a so-called "black person" different from an Asian or a Caucasian in more ways than one? Or are they the same inside, just with different skin pigmentation? They have the same organs. The same hearts, the same bones, the same brains, nails, eyes, teeth, and genitals. And yet, we as a species still have not overcome the notion of spilling blood over the idea of "race".

Take for example, warring African tribes, who not only have the same human bodies, but also look alike, considering they also come from the same continent. Or take a Polish man and a Russian man, who, thanks to their political differences, hate each other, but in appearance, they both look like regular whites. Japanese and Chinese people still hold a grudge over what happened decades ago, even though they both belong to the same continent and even have similar traditions of familial piety and Buddhist spirituality. The famous One Hundred Years' War was a hundred-year war between two white, Catholic nations, England and France, and yet the war lasted for a hundred years despite the two combatants not only looking alike, but also worshiping the same God in the same Church and engaging in the same Western Latin culture.

And yet, even today, there are those who attack people based on "race". Or even attack members of their own race for being too friendly to another "race". Even though we live in the 21st Century AD, an age where launching men into space is more of a trivial thing rather than a spectacular thing, the way people in 500 or even 100 years ago would view it.  We launch men into space, make drones that can kill people half a world away, and even create artificial worlds with 3-D technology in our computers, yet there is still violence going on because one person hates another person for an accident of birth.

At the very least, I can understand ideological or religious wars. People choose to believe in religion or ideology A, and religion or ideology B opposes that, so the ones who believe in A choose to fight the ones who believe in B. Or, in Medieval times, one person fights for one king while another person fights for an opposing king. At the very least, it's people choosing to line up to fight for someone or something, it is an action that they can control. That they believe in. That they choose to be a part of. That, I can understand.

But spilling blood or continuing hatreds just because one person is born from a different race that they couldn't control? Why?

Race doesn't determine culture. Because if it did, then Christianity and Roman civilization would not have uplifted the Germanic tribes out of barbarity. For those of you who believe in white supremacy, most of you probably have some Germanic blood. They conquered most of Western Europe, after all, from Italy and Spain to France and Britain. Want to know something about them? The Germanic peoples were seen as nothing but slaves and cannon fodder by the Romans and Greeks. That's right, they were to the Romans and the Greeks what black people were to Dixie South before the Civil War.

To the Romans and Greeks, uplifting these peoples were impossible. They were savages, good for only menial work or being pointed as living weapons against other savages for shiny gold coins. For all intents and purposes, they might as well be animals to the Romans. It was the Christians after the fall of Rome that saw value in them and tried to teach them Roman ways of civilization, rule, and warfare. So for those of you who preach that only white folks know civilization, have fun preaching about that white supremacy. Just remember than 1600 years ago, your kind were the ones picking the cotton and dying on the battlefield because some Roman general didn't want to risk Roman lives. If it wasn't for the disciples of some Middle-Eastern Jewish Messiah spreading Roman civilization to your ancestors, you'd probably be just like the very same African "tribal savages" that you belittle on a daily basis.

Even looking at it from a civilization standpoint, outside of Greece and Rome, none of the European tribes before the fall of Rome could even hold a candle to the Chinese, the Indians, or even the African kingdoms that Rome treated with. The Germanic peoples outside of Rome spent half the day killing Romans and the other half living in mud huts. They had warlords who married teenage girls and berserkers that charged butt-naked against Roman lines. Without the Christians who taught them religion and the Roman ways of architecture, science, law, and governance, these tribes would have remained in the dirt, instead of managing to keep up and eventually surpass Rome like they did in real life. It's quite telling that the only barbarians who walked away with any permanent gains during the fall of Rome were ones who prayed to Jesus. Even the mighty Huns, the terror of the Late Roman world, disintegrated into warring factions and dispersed after Attila's death, eventually ending up as sellswords to Roman remnants in the East before disappearing in the pages of history.

And then there is the other side of the argument. Those among the non-whites, the Asians, blacks, and others who hate Christianity and everything the white man touched. While Asians have made great strides in Westernization, and enough blacks accept it and try to move into the future, there are still lingering amounts of them who hate modernization because of racial reasons. Bitching about how the white man made them slaves, or how they should stick to "traditional" ways even if those ways come at the expense of lives of women, children, and yes, even men. It even turns into violence, with groups like Boko Haram outright slaughtering anyone trying to Westernize Africa, with the kind of chauvinism that would make even the enemies of the 1920's women's suffrage movement look like bra-burning feminists in comparison.

They refuse to recognize that Africans were sold into slavery by other Africans, and that the black slave kingdoms were put to the fire, not by other blacks, but by whites who were sick of slavery. They refuse to recognize that isolationism, instead of protecting nations like China and Japan from foreign invasion, actually made them more vulnerable to it. If the British had the manpower to conquer China during the Opium Wars, they could have. Had the other European powers not needed the Chinese government as a balance against the ambitions of each other, they might have eradicated the Chinese leadership outright and divided China into shares of land for each other. All because the Chinese Emperor isolated the nation from the West, and his ruling court and successors agreed to it. Same goes for Japan-they isolated themselves from the West to "protect" themselves from Spanish influence and had all Christians they could get their hands on killed. And that only made them weaker, ignorant of Western advances in technology that made their weapons obsolete. Had Commodore Perry barged in with a massive armada ferrying an invasion force instead of a small diplomatic naval expedition, the American flag would be flying over Tokyo right now, and all Japanese would have been forced to become Americans and speak English as their native tongue.

One of the things I like most about the Catholic faith aside from God Himself is the Mea Culpa aspect of the faith. Each mass, we admit to our failings, black or white, rich or poor, we are all equally guilty. One way or another, we crossed the Lord, and we have to admit to it. "My fault, my fault, my most grievous fault." We strike our chest three times for each statement to hammer in the point. Some people find it cruel, that the Mass tries to beat in man's guilt, but to me, it's a way of equalizing everyone. That we are all part of this flawed human family, and we all ask for forgiveness. For in the eyes of the wise, it's not a matter of  will a man mess up, it's WHEN. That's why Jesus ordered His people to forgive, not seven times, but seventy-seven. Because He knew that people screw up. And if you try to keep a running tally, it's going to take forever to list another person's sins, let alone YOURS. So trying to count the flaws of others while they count yours gets people nowhere.

That's why I really HATE the people who act like they're completely innocent. The alt-right white people who act like whites are peerless paragons of civilization and that everyone with a darker skin tone is less human than them. The black and Asian race-baiters who act like their side is the innocent, blameless victim assaulted by an evil, Satanic Western presence. To me, there's nothing more despicable than a man blasting others for flaws when he himself is awash with flaws, and those who speak for cultures that have done bad things themselves have NO business playing victim when they themselves were responsible for horrors. Yes, Mr. Muslim, it really sucks that a lot of people hate your religion right now, but maybe it has something to do with all the terrorism and violence inspired by Muslim clerics, that only a few Muslim countries and leaders stand against? It's one thing to say you don't stand with them. Good for you. But can you petition your governments and leaders to stop offering side support to these intolerant bastards? Can they stop persecuting people of other faiths on their own lands?

And this becomes even MORE sickening to me when it moves on to race. Ethnicity is something that a person can't control. Was it a person's choice that he or she was born Filipino? Italian? Spanish? Kenyan? Was it his or her choice to be born in China, Korea, or Ethiopia? Did he or she choose to be born to a Japanese family, or a black American family? The answer to all those questions is NO. HELL NO. So while hating someone based on his or her life choices, like choice of religion, ideology, or leader, is something that I can mildly tolerate and sometimes even understand, hating someone for an accident of birth is something utterly alien to me. They didn't choose their so-called "race".

And you know what? As someone born of mixed-race parentage, I love the fact that I don't have a dog in this fight. I'm someone from a brand-new identity that I forge MYSELF, that I control, that nobody can tell me what to do. I can adopt one part of my identity as much as I want, and I can adopt the other the same way. I see myself as the future of humanity, a future when we no longer obsess over what our ethnic heritage is. A future when we see ourselves as one race, as one people, as one species, as one ethnicity. Like in many of those futuristic sci-fi games and worlds like Halo, Star Wars, and Mass Effect, where humans stand as one species, and when facing other aliens, whether in diplomacy or battle, humans racially identify as one species, instead of obsessing about whether or not they are white black, Asian, or Latino.

Perhaps that's one reason why race-baiters on both the alt-right and the anti-white side hate us mixed-race folk. We shatter their expectations. We live outside the mold they set, we don't fit in their Manichean narrative. No wonder they're all eager to mark us as unstable individuals or lump us all with the likes of Eliot Rodger. We're a threat to them. To everything they hold dear. Hence why the one thing a black supremacist and a white supremacist can agree on would be that mulatto kids are an abomination to both of them because they don't fit in the narrative of the good vs evil race battle.

Even outside of mixed-race folk, I've seen people act within AND outside their stereotypes. I've met white folks who are exceedingly polite and are fun to hang around with. I've also met some who act like barbarians. I've met polite blacks who can give the polite whites I previously mentioned some good, honest competition, and I've also met blacks who live up to the gangster stereotypes other people make of them. I've met Asians who live up to the stereotype of the crazy-smart Asian kid or the Asian tiger mothers, and I've seen Asians who are as liberal with education and children as more free-wheeling whites and blacks are.

But as a person of mixed-race ancestry, I welcome the future where we see each other not by the race or ethnicity that we are born into, but by the content of our character. Like for example, Jews are a question of race that I see people tear into with two, very stereotypical mindsets. One views the Jews as victims of history and as a beautiful, near-flawless people, the chosen race of God, who must be assisted and adored at every turn. Another views the Jews as the evil, Satanic heralds of the Anti-Christ, no matter what kind of evil befalls Western civilization, be it the wars between Catholics and Protestants or the rise of Communism, it has to be the fault of Jews. I judge Jews as individuals. I don't judge them as a race. As a race, they have good people, bad people, and people that are in between. I've met Jews who are wonderful people, some of whom have inspired me to further my scholarly studies in life, and I've met Jews who are rude, arrogant jackasses who made me want to punch them in the face. Had it not been for the law, I might have.

Perhaps that's the reason I find myself more disinterested in politics as time moves forward here in the US. We went from hating each other for political choices and reasons, to hating each other because of uncontrollable in-born differences. As the old left and right give way to the alt-right and the Social Justice Warriors, the former being against everyone but the whites, the latter being against everything white and Christian, I just can't participate in it anymore. And I'm glad I can't, because it's a stupid game with stupid players and stupid rules. Good riddance. Hope they destroy each other and leave us sane people alone. The old left and right hated each other for legitimate reasons made from choices. One loves God, one hates God. One loves socialism, the other hates socialism. One loves capitalism, the other sees it as the bane of mankind. But at least they chose what they loved and what they hated. As much as I detest Communism, I would rather stand face-to-face with a Communist who chose that path, rather than someone who hates me because I am either too white/Asian or not white/Asian enough. At the very least, we can hate each other based on what we chose to believe or not to believe, and our argument can be something over logic and choices, instead of things we cannot control.

White race-baiters argue that blacks and other races can never be civilized, that only whites can be. And yet most of their own race was once talked about by the Romans in the same terms, as permanently uncivilized barbarians who will always be good for nothing but cheap labor and cannon fodder. When that mentality led the Romans to abuse the Germanic families living in their borders, it caused the soldiers of those families to defect from Rome and help barbarian kings sack Rome and invade the Empire. That led to the Empire's decay and inevitable downfall. Similarly, when the Byzantines, Rome's eastern half, continued to sabotage and attack the Latin Crusaders because they were "barbarians" and had no right to protest when Roman boots were at their necks, this eventually caused the Latins to sack Byzantium in 1204, during the Fourth Crusade, with the invasion even being led by a former Venetian diplomat who was apparently blinded by the Byzantines when he once pleaded with them for mercy in the past. That also led to Byzantium's decay and eventual fall. Both halves of the Roman Empire died because of their racism towards so-called "barbarians". Are we to let our civilization make the same, drastic mistake?

Whenever we think of those races that we see as "less civilized", perhaps we should wonder, were our ancestors viewed in the same way once? The answer is probably yes, and if so, perhaps the people we decry as barbarians today could be the future of tomorrow? The Romans certainly never foresaw that the Germanic tribes they hated so much would eventually adopt their ideas on civilization and eventually surpass them. The Byzantines never foresaw that the Turks who gave them such problems would be easily repelled by the Latin "barbarians" they so hated, to the point where the Ottomans became known as the "Sick Man of Europe" because of how weak they were compared to the Europeans. European civilization itself is a story of how barbarians were uplifted by the Church and how they eventually intermingled with and surpassed their Roman predecessors. Asia's rise as a continent with economic powerhouses like China and Japan is a story of how the once-subservient East is now surpassing the once-dominant West. So again, the potential for civilization, economy, and growth is there, even among peoples once deemed sub-human or "uncivilized."

But why did I title this whole thing "RACISTS ARE THE REAL RACE-TRAITORS"?

Simple.

Because we, as a whole, are one race. One human race. One race of beings who share the same biology, the same spirit, the same desires and end-goals: a good life for us and the ones we love.

And racists get in the way of that.

Instead of uniting, they divide. Instead of helping us get together and be strong as one people, they turn us against each other. Remember when that one Indian chief likened the English and the French as one pair of scissors tearing the Indians apart? Well, racists are that for the whole human race.

We have a future to look forward to. A future that beckons to us, a future where we all share in the same human dreams and look forward to the same glorious tomorrow. But as long as race-baiters and racists separate us into different opposing races, that future will be delayed. More than religion, more than ideology, race wars damage humanity as a whole because they force us to judge each other based on things we can't control.

And that is why racists are the real race traitors.

They are traitors to humanity, traitors to God, traitors to our shared biology. Whether you want to believe that we all evolved from apes, or some dust God breathed into, or something in between, racists are holding us back. Racism is holding us back, making us squabble with each other instead of reaching for the potential that is within each and every one of us.

So, the fact that the potential for civilization and growth is in every one of us goes to show how racists on all sides are idiots. Worse, their ideas influence the desperate and those looking for someone to blame. And the effects of their rhetoric pit us against each other, wasting time and resources that we, as a species, could use to better effect to better ourselves as a whole. That is why, to me, racists are the true "race traitors". They are traitors to a race: to the HUMAN race, which has more than a thousand problems right now.

And racism is a problem that certainly doesn't need to be another one.
